Caleb McLaughlin has quickly established himself as one of Hollywood’s most exciting rising stars.

He currently stars as ‘Lucas Sinclair’ on Netflix’s groundbreaking hit, STRANGER THINGS, for which McLaughlin won both the 2018 NAACP Image Award for ‘Outstanding Performance by a Youth’ and a 2017 Screen Actors Guild Award alongside his castmates in the category of ‘Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series’. He has also received nominations for his performance from the BET Awards and MTV Movie + TV Awards. The Emmy Award-winning science fiction drama series—which debuted in 2016 and has now become one of Netflix’s flagship shows and a global phenomenon—is currently in production for its upcoming third season.

McLaughlin recently wrapped production on his first feature-length film, HIGH FLYING BIRD, a sports drama directed by Academy Award winner Steven Soderbergh and written by Academy Award winner Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight). The highly-anticipated film also stars André Holland, Zazie Beetz, and Kyle MacLachlan.

For television, McLaughlin portrayed ‘Young Ricky Bell’ in BET’s 2017 miniseries, THE NEW EDITION STORY, chronicling the ups and downs of the legendary R&B group. For his performance, he received a BET Award nomination for its ‘YoungStars Award’ and a Black Reel Award nomination for ‘Outstanding Supporting Actor, TV Movie/Limited Series’.

His earlier television appearances include BLUE BLOODS, FOREVER, LAW & ORDER: SVU, SHADES OF BLUE, and UNFORGETTABLE. He is also featured in the star-studded music video for Sia’s chart- topping holiday song, “Santa’s Coming For Us,” from iconic music video director Marc Klasfeld and co- starring Kristen Bell, Dax Shephard, and Henry Winkler.

A multi-talented actor, singer and dancer, McLaughlin studied dance at The Harlem School of the Arts. He made his Broadway debut in 2012 as ‘Young Simba’ in Disney’s THE LION KING—and holds the distinction of being the longest-running actor to play the role in the show's two-decade history on Broadway.

His other stage credits include the 2015 Signature Theatre production of Athol Fugard’s play THE PAINTED ROCKS AT REVOLVER CREEK; and his critically-acclaimed song-and-dance performance in the Kennedy Center’s revival of the Kurt Weill opera LOST IN THE STARS.
Amid his burgeoning career, McLaughlin has made it a priority to give back to his community.
